Daily Grand 15s

Role: Co-Direction, Concepts (environments), Scene Assembly, Shading, Colors, Lighting, Compositing

I had the awesome opportunity to co-direct (look) those 15 seconds campaign with my friend and colleague Carl Beauchemin (animation) at SHED.

  • Colors & Light

    • I loved to work on those short campaigns, especially on developing a unique mood and feel to each one of them. In most of the scenes I went for a triadic color scheme that represent the vibrant energy of the characters then I punctuated that with a lot of white elements to give a clean and pure aspect to the frames.

    • This was the first time I used Filmic and I can say that it was a revolution for me and also for all our future project at SHED.

  • Software

    • We used Maya for the scene assembly, Redshift for the rendering and NUKE for the compositing.
Softimage was used for the animation and rigging.
Cinema 4D and Houdini for some modeling adjustments and simulations.
